Welcome Statement from the Chief of Police
The Oakwood Police Department strives to serve our community in a manner that is focused on solving problems, building community relationships, and preventing criminal activity. It is our goal to maintain the highest degree of service in order to protect the Oakwood quality of life.
Our agency provides full-time law enforcement service, and we are continually looking for ways to ensure that we are able to increase our capabilities. Our desire is to be a full-service agency that is the premier agency within Hall County and the Northeastern region of the State.
We take a strong stance on enforcement issues with the intent of keeping our citizens safe and keeping transient criminals out of our city. Oakwood is not a place to come in order to carry out criminal activity.
Our officers and staff are highly motivated and we enjoy the job that we do. We are always looking for ways to improve our professionalism, our level of training and our knowledge in order to be better able to accomplish our job duties and to meet the needs of our citizens.
If you see our personnel out in the city, please feel free to come up and introduce yourself. We enjoy meeting you and hearing about how we can work with you to make the city a better place. We recognize that the provision of law enforcement services to the city is a joint effort, and that with the cooperation of the Police and the community, we can make Oakwood the best city in Georgia.
